Real Dairy Ice Cream
Will and Dawn of Marshfield Farm Ice Cream rang us in the summer of 2015 to rebrand their retail packaging. Created on their West Country family farm, just north of Bath, almost 20 years ago, the brand had built a loyal following of seaside retailers and leisure outlets around the country. However, the retail offering was not fairing so well, and the brand and packaging design felt a little dated and down-market in comparison to many of its competitors on shelf.
We needed to move the brand far enough along in retail to reach out to a new audience, without confusing the same consumers when they experienced the brand out-of-home. We re-positioned the brand to its natural homeland of ‘proud producers of real dairy ice cream’ and redesigned the packaging to reach out to foodie families that actively seek out the best. The introduction of the 500ml tub was a strategic move as part of the work to broaden the appeal of the brand.
