Ice cream as it should be
Will and Dawn of Marshfield Farm Ice Cream called us in the summer of 2015 to rebrand their retail packaging. Over 20 years, the brand had built a loyal following of seaside retailers and leisure outlets around the country. However, their retail offering was not fairing so well, and the brand and packaging design needed to be revamped to take on cool competitors in the freezer aisle.
As well as refreshing the brand to appeal to a new audience, we had to be careful not to confuse existing customers and move the logo too far away from the previous look still used by existing outlets. So, we re-positioned the brand to stand for ‘proud producers of real dairy ice cream’ and redesigned the packaging to reach out to foodie families that actively seek out the best. The introduction of a 500ml tub also broadened the appeal of the brand, making it more accessible for one-off pleasure seekers.
