Worleys

Somerset-made craft cider

Helen and Neil Worley make outstanding craft cider in the Mendip Hills in Somerset. With a focus on quality and character, Neil is hands-on across every part of the cider-making process – from selecting the orchards and heritage apple varieties, to pressing, fermenting, blending and bottling. He is obsessed with quality. No short cuts. And it works – Worleys Cider has won numerous awards, including a coveted '3 Star' Great Taste Award for its flagship product, Special Reserve Keeved Cider.

Our task was to create stand-out packaging that reflected Neil’s craft ethos and personality. We also wanted to create a clear family connection across the range, allowing for a more premium feel for Special Reserve.

The story behind each cider’s name gave us a real insight into Neil’s passions and influences which we reflected through the designs. The quirky typography and illustrated characters are a nod to Neil’s love of folk rock and being a “bit of a hippie”. And each animal is inspired by either his small-holding, the working farm where the cider mill is based, or the wildlife of the Somerset countryside.

The Worley family are delighted with their new-look packaging which is rolling out in 2020.
